It is also used to kill bacteria in cell culture media. Kanamycin Sulfate is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It works by binding to the ribosomes of bacteria and preventing them from synthesizing proteins. This eventually leads to the death of the bacteria.Biotechnology Grade
